We stayed at Lemolo Lake and it was paradise!
Lake front! Should I say more? We chilled for 3 days. It reminded me of Forrest Gump for some reason: when we got hungry, Mike fished, and we ate; when we got hot, we swam! We kayaked, wrote, painted. It was heaven.
Mike caught rainbow trout and fried it! I usually do not eat fried fish, but it was delicious!
Our nearest neighbors were like a mile away… at least for the first 2 days, on our way out, the place started to look like a true 4th of July weekend. So, it was time to continue with our journey.
Note: we are traveling with so much stuff that it took us 2 1/2 hours to repack everything in the car - at noon! We have to get better at this and lighten our load pretty soon. This is insane! Shout out to the manager who, even though we were technically checked out, allowed me to go back to shower and reset!
On our way out, we went to Diamond Lake Resort for lunch, which was packed. Lots of boats, people and pets enjoying the water.
We also stopped at Crater Lake so Mike and Luna could see it. I made the executive decision of staying in one place to be able to relax, as opposed to heading out every day to hike at different parks. We are still happy with that decision. Trying to pack too many activities in one or two days is not good for us.
We are heading NE towards Montana, but we have a stop in between. I’m a little concerned with this place because it has a hot spring, and doggies are not allowed. I think it’s going to be hard on Luna, since she loves the water so much, and was basically immersed in the lake all day every day for the past few days...
